Vendor verification policy
Last updated: 28 October 2026 · Applies to Callbeba Kenya (https://callbeba.co.ke)
1. What “Verified” means on Callbeba
Verified is a platform trust mark. It means Callbeba has reviewed selected shop details and is satisfied, at the time of review, that the shop appears to be a real business suitable for listing.
Verified does not mean that Callbeba has confirmed every licence a vendor may need under Kenyan law, that products are guaranteed, or that the vendor cannot make mistakes. Customers should still use ordinary care when ordering.
2. What we typically check
- Working phone and contact details for the shop owner or manager.
- Shop name and description consistency.
- GPS pin set at a plausible shop location.
- Active subscription / approval status on the platform.
- Catalogue that does not obviously breach prohibited-listing rules.
- Where we ask for more information, any documents or photos the vendor chooses to provide for review (for example shop front or registration details) only to the extent we actually request and review them.
3. How verification is granted or removed
Verification is granted by Callbeba administrators after review. It can be removed if standards fall, if there is fraud or serious complaints, or if the shop becomes inactive. Account approval (allowed to operate) is separate from the Verified badge.
4. Honest marketing
Vendors and marketers must not claim that Callbeba has “licensed”, “government-approved”, or “guaranteed” a shop unless a competent authority has actually done so. The Verified badge is Callbeba’s internal review mark only.
